VAMPIRE PHLEBOTOMIST

The vampire
termed himself
a phlebotomist.

Self described as
a therapist
was the lobotomist.

NO ROOM AT THE INN

No room at the inn
for those of dark skin.
What stops some…. makes
the courageous begin.

(4 star Admiral Michelle
Howard’s family could
not find a hotel on
vacation… because
of skin color)

EJECTED FROM A TRAIN

Gandhi was ejected from
a South African train
Turned to fuel was
the humiliating pain
igniting his nonviolent
campaign
ultimately ending
a colonial reign

BEHEADING OR BURNING

Who suffers more?
Someone terrified facing decapitation…..
or a family burned to death
by drone or bomb conflagration?

Does return violence create
violence’ acceleration?

BUTTERFLY MOON

The full moon emerges
clothed in seadrops
from the ocean
her cocoon..

The water has
not obscured her light.
Her butterfly wings drying
as she rises in flight.
